Graphical Views of the Model
The program allows the graphical view of the model, through plans, elevations, solid views, domains of resistance, maps of commitment, made at a level of detail that makes visible all the details of modeling and the most significant results of the calculation performed. All windows are equipped with the usual graphics commands (zoom, pan, preview, etc..) that allow easy management of the design.
In other views, as in the plan, graphical editing commands are added to the basic commands, organized into specific toolbars, with which you can insert, delete, move, edit and quote the modeling elements.
Other views are made available with the progress of the work: for example the prospects of the walls and the 3D solid view depend on logical construction of the structural model and thus require a minimum consistency of data definition.
The views based on results -as the resistance domains and the commitment maps- become available when the analysis is performed and they allow a synthetic interpretation of the results achieved. For all the graphical views it is possible to assign design preferences, such as the size and font of characters, the presence of dimensioning and fillature, the obscuring of particular layers. Anoter feature common to all graphical windows is the “Preview” command, that lets you examine the print preview of the drawing, repositon itself on the form, print it or export it to DXF.
The Plans
In the plans all the elements are visible that are used in the modeling: intersection nodes, panel walls, holes, floors, curbs OF AMMORSAMENTO and the floor rods. The level of detail allows you to value the thickness and the misalignment of the panels, the reinforcements applied, the presence of curbs, the warping of the floors, the size of the openings. Additional information is given with colour code, same types of masonry are identical in color. Apart from the common management commands (zoom, pan, print preview, export DXF) there are commands aimed at the graphic editing of structural elements (DXF import, insert, delete, edit, and dimensioning elements).
In the plan view the types of masonry are distinguished based on the color, the warping of the floors and the holes. warping. In the enlarged detail it is possible to distinguish wall hangings with reinforced plaster.
Solid 3D View
This windows shows a solid model of the building, which is useful for checking the geometric compliance with the real building. The graphics are made by using the "OpenGL" to exploit the graphics engine of the video card and enable interactive management of shifts and rotations of the model, with simple mouse movements. Among the options there is the possibility to vary the effects of light and mist and to compose partial views of the solid model to facilitate the control of structural areas that would otherwise be hidden by other elements.
Same as the “Walls view”, this view is available after the construction of the model.
In the solid view elements are visible such as beams, reinforcement liners ecc... In the enlarged detail panels, reinforced foundations and some beam elements are visible.
Construction of the model
Once you have completed the defining of the structure, you can ask for a verification of themodeling. At this stage the program performs an accurate check of data consistency and, in presence of abnormal or unacceptable structural situations, it issues appropriate warnings. The user evaluates the message received and and intervenes with appropriate corrections. If no serious inconsistencies are found, the structural model is being constructed, by evaluating the reciprocal connections of all the items and by assembling the walls as a succession of individual panels.
The MASCHI MURARI are identified at the different levels of the building and their mechanical properties of stiffness and constraint are determined. The information framework built at this stage will be used in all subsequent stages of calculation.
